2024 Artist Laureate - Theresa Troise-Heidel

Theresa, a passionate watercolor artist who thrives on on-location inspiration, emphasizes the essence of drawing as the foundation for exceptional painting. Her art exudes sincerity, viscerality, and heartfelt expression. Beyond her art, Theresa generously imparts her talents by teaching and mentoring both art and piano students of all ages, making her a true champion of the arts.
Her watercolors have been published in a series of coffee table books titled To the Shore Once More, Volumes I and II and Long Beach Island Rhapsody, published by Jersey Shore Publications, Bay Head, New Jersey.
Theresa is an Artist in Residence with Cunard Lines and is currently represented by Jersey Shore Moments in Manasquan. She has also done many watercolor workshops and demonstrations in the New Jersey and New York metropolitan areas. She is a graduate of Saint Peter’s College, Jersey City, New Jersey and undertook graduate studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy. She has also exhibited at the Allan Stone Gallery in New York City and at many other galleries in the New York metropolitan area.
Theresa is truly a Ridgefield Park treasure, who has contributed so much to the arts and we are honored to recognize her as our 2024 Artist Laureate.
