Spring Bird Count 2018

Join the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission as we embark on a Spring Bird Count! Over 130 species breed right here in New Jersey. Join us to see how many we can find right here in our own town.

The starting point for those who would like to participate in the Spring Bird Count will be at McGowan Park located on Bergen Turnpike starting at 7:00AM. The second meeting point will be at the amphitheater at Overpeck Park at 9:00AM.

You’ll need a pair of binoculars and some hiking boots and a love for nature and observing birds. Great family fun and a learning experience for area students who want to learn more about our local bird population.
