Ambulance Corps

Fire Department

Tax Assessor
The Tax Assessor's Office is responsible for placing valuations on all real property in the Village for the purpose of tax assessments and makes sure that the tax burden is equally distributed among the property owners. Each year the assessor defends assessments of property at the court level and keeps abreast of current real estate trends, methods of appraisal, and real estate laws.

The Tax Collector’s Office is responsible for the billing, collection, and deposit of property taxes in the Village of Ridgefield Park.

Village Clerk's Office
The Village Clerk is appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Clerk serves as the Secretary to the Governing Body, prepares the meeting agendas, records the minutes of Commissioner meetings which are permanent documents, and processes resolutions and ordinances adopted by the Board of Commissioners in accordance with State statutes.

Welfare Department
The Welfare Department is a State Program that administers general assistance to eligible residents of the Village of Ridgefield Park. We also assist in preventing the shut-off of utilities, provide food vouchers on an emergency basis, and make referrals to the appropriate agencies such as The Salvation Army, Center for Food Action, Bergen County Housing Authority, and Bergen County Shelter.
