Property Taxes

Taxpayers Have Four Ways to Pay Property Taxes

  • In person at the Municipal Building payment window (234 Main Street entrance)
  • Via Regular Mail
  • Online via Credit Card or ACH
  • Drop off at Police Headquarters (Municipal Building Park Street entrance)

Taxpayers paying by check may mail their payment to the Tax Collector's Office or leave the payment at the drop box located in the Park Street entrance of the Municipal Building. Please include your tax bill and a self-addressed stamped envelope if you require a receipt.

We will accept any payments that you want to give us. Partial payments can be made and will reduce the interest penalty in the event a balance is due past the due date

Property Taxes Are Due Annually

  • 1st Quarter - February 1st
  • 2nd Quarter - May 1st
  • 3rd Quarter - August 1st
  • 4th Quarter - November 1st

Interest on Delinquencies will be calculated from the Legal Due Dates of February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st. There is a grace period to the 10th of the month in which payment is due, thereafter 8% interest is calculated on the first $1500 owed, 18% on the balance from the Legal Due Date.

If you do not know what your property taxes are for the quarter, use the Property Tax Lookup or contact the Tax Collector's office at the Municipal Building.

Payment for property taxes may be submitted in person or mailed to the Municipal Building to the attention of the Tax Collector's Office. Payments may be made by cash (in person at the payment window in the Municipal Building only) or by check. We do not accept credit cards at the Municipal Building. Payments may be made online with a credit card or checking account. Please be advised that online payments will be subject to additional fees. Tax payments may also be submitted into a mailbox located next to the police records window inside the Park Street entrance of the Municipal Building and accessible 24/7. Please do not submit cash in the box, checks or money orders only.

Sewer is included with property taxes and is not billed separately. Water is billed privately, the municipality does not bill homeowners for water.
