In order to apply for a marriage license, the bride, groom, and a witness 18 years of age or older must be present.
What You Must Present
- Proof of identity by presenting your driver's license, photo I.D., passport, or state/federal I.D.
- Proof of your residency
- Your social security card or social security number
- $28 cash or check
Additional Information
- All documents must be in English.
- If there is a language barrier, an interpreter needs to be present.
- The application must be held for 72 hours before the license can be issued.
- We need to know who is marrying you, their title, and their mailing address.
- You can apply 30 days prior, but your application is only good for 30 days.
- Date and place of wedding are most important.
