Food Pantry Assistance Available to All Residents

Village News Posted on November 20, 2025

For over 25 years, the Food Pantry at St. Francis Church has been serving our neighbors in need. What started as a small effort to help a few families has grown into a vital community resource, providing supplemental groceries to approximately 85 families—about 350 people—every month.

The food pantry is open to all Ridgefield Park residents, regardless of background. The pantry is committed to serving the needs of all members of our community with dignity and respect—simply neighbors helping families who are struggling through hard economic times. You do not have to be a parishioner.

The food pantry welcomes donations of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, paper goods and reusable grocery bags. It is kindly requested to donate items in plastic containers rather than glass if possible. Additionally, the pantry is currently well-stocked with beans. All food donations may be dropped off at the St. Francis of Assisi Church sacristy before or after all Masses, or placed in the vestibule of the Church.

Monetary donations can be mailed to: Food Pantry, 125 Park Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660, Attention: Patty Acosta.

The food pantry operates on a bi-weekly schedule on Tuesdays from 9:30AM–10:00AM. Whether you need assistance or want to help your neighbors, the Ridgefield Park Community Food Pantry is here for you. For more information, call (201) 641-6464 or visit stfrancisrp.org/food-pantry
