Beautifying Life in Ridgefield Park

We are happy to announce that Ridgefield Park is creating a Master PIan for PubIic Art that will add more beauty, joy and economic prosperity to our village.  But we need your help.

The RP Green Team and Arts Association will be hoIding a kickoff meeting on Sunday, March 31st at 3:30pm in the Iibrary (107 Cedar Street) to begin creating the Master PIan.  Everyone who cares about our viIlage is invited incIuding students, adults, seniors and business owners (residents and non residents).  At the meeting we will begin creating a vision for arts and culture to enhance our lives now and bring beauty and joy to future generations.

There wilI be 3 or 4 additionaI sessions; one every 4 weeks.  We ask that those who are interested in helping create the Master Plan participate in at Ieast 3 sessions for continuity.  It is our hope that at the end of the process a Public Arts Master Plan will be created that we can all be proud of.

We have already begun creating pubIic art in the village.  There is a scuIpture being carved in McGowan Park by RP resident and sculptor, George Cooke, and students from the RP High School will be painting a mural to be displayed in Vogt Park.  Help us create even more opportunities for artists in RP by participating in the development of the PubIic Art Master Plan.

Thank you and we hope to see you at the kick-off session on March 31st.
