Fourth of July Celebrations

The Celebration is Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

7:30am at Euclid Ave. and Mt. Vernon St. - Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Memorial Plaza.
7:45am at the Memorial Plaza - Flag Raising Ceremony by the Boy and Girl Scouts.
8:00am at Euclid Ave. between Cedar St. and Mt. Vernon St. - Fire Department and Emergency Units present their personnel and equipment for inspection.
9:00am at Poplar St. and Euclid Ave. - Start of the Baby & Youth Parade.  Participants will walk or ride Poplar Street to Mt. Vernon Street and back around the island.  Selected Honor Students from schools in Ridgefield Park  will be recognized at this parade.  Awards will be given out at the end of the parade. 
11:25am at Hudson Ave. and Preston St. - The bomb blasts and playing of the National Anthem by bands at the beginning of the parade route.
11:30am at Hudson Ave. and Preston St. - The Main Parade.  A Grand Marshal, selected from our community, leads the parade.  Fraternal and village organizations, youth and sporting associations, bands and visitors march with pride.  Village residents and visitors have enjoyed this event for over a century.  Thousands participate and even more enjoy this magnificent parade from the sidelines. Trophies and awards will be given to the winning participants at the end of the parade in Brewster Park (Main St. and Brewster Ave).
