Filing a Tax Appeal With the County

After February 1st, you may file an appeal with the Bergen County Board of Taxation (call the County to confirm).

To pick up and file an application for a tax appeal, you must go to:

You must provide copies of your tax appeal application, along with any supporting documents, to the following offices:
1. Bergen County Tax Board (with the filing fee)
2. Ridgefield Park Tax Assessor's Office
3. Ridgefield Park Village Clerk
The Ridgefield Park Tax Assessor's Office and the Village Clerk are located at 234 Main Street, Ridgefield Park.

DEADLINE FOR FILING AN APPEAL IS APRIL 1ST.  Your appeal must be received (not merely postmarked) by the Bergen County Board of Taxation on or before this date or 45 days from the date mailed, as it appears on the front of the postcard, whichever date is later.
