One of our Ford Crown Victoria marked police cruisers outside the main entrance on Park Street.
The department uses Ford Crown Victoria marked patrol vehicles and recently began a changeover from white marked patrol vehicles to black and white vehicles such as the one pictured here (bedecked with flags for our 4th of July celebration). Unmarked cruisers are also utilized. In addition, a special-duty 4WD Jeep and a Ford utility van, used by the Traffic bureau, round out the fleet.
SERVING SINCE 1893
Our door is always open.
We are a full service department serving the Village and transient population - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As you enter the department lobby, the Records Office is on the left. Copies of accident reports and police records are available Monday through Friday 9am - 3pm.
Linda Duncan and Lois Pesce (pictured) handle all the department's record keeping. With an average of over 19,000 calls for service by the police department, hundreds of criminal & traffic warrants to be entered into the computer and hundreds of auto accidents to track, they keep very busy.
