The Ridgefield Park Police Ceremonial Honor Guard

Founded by Sergeant Leo McGuire (now Bergen County Sheriff) and comprising Sgt. Scott Ehalt, DSG. Charles Gneiding, Detective Albert Baker, Officers Steven Sulborsky, Arthur Jensen, Brian Hippe, Christopher Thibault and Liaison- Lt. Daniel Donnelly, the Police Ceremonial Honor Guard Unit was organized in 1991.
The Honor Guard was originally formed to represent the Police Department in the annual Fourth of July Parade but has since been featured annually at the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in Washington D.C., the New Jersey State Police Officer's Memorial in Ocean Grove and The Bergen County Police Officer's Memorial at the Law and Public Safety Institute in Mahwah. The Unit can be seen representing the department at events throughout Ridgefield Park and assists in coordinating the Department's presence at funerals for active or retired officers as well as those of other Police Departments.
