Fourth of July:

We are less than three weeks away from the Village's big day. As in past years, there are three main events that we would like scouts to get involved in. All three events are open to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts. It would be great to see representation from all three scouting organizations at each event! They are as follows:

Flag Raising - Please meet at the flagpole on Euclid Avenue at Mt. Vernon Street (Next to St. Francis Church) We ask that you arrive between 7:00 and 7:15 am. The scouts raise the flag with the help of DPW employees and this year we would like participation from all three scouting organizations at the ceremony.

Youth Parade - Please meet at the intersection of Euclid and Poplar at 8:45 am. The scouts are asked to carry the division signs for the parade. Seven scouts are required for this event, but more are welcome. Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts are welcome to participate.

Civic Parade - Please meet at the intersection of Hudson and Park Streets at 11:00 am. Each Scouting organization is welcome to march as a unit (or units) in the parade. The more the merrier!

RENT-A-SCOUT

"A Scout is thrifty." We encourage scouts to pay their own way. You may hire Troop 3 Boy Scouts for snow removal and other outdoor chores. Call: Maria Van Buskirk - (201) 832-0540. Funds raised go to the scout's personal account.
