On October 20, 2011 Volunteer Night: The Emergency Responders of our Village. Fun for all ages.

On October 27, 2011 the Fire Dept practiced their skills in forcable entry and hose line advancement.

On April 27th the members of the Fire Dept. participated in the annual 31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robins on Main Street. All the proceeds went to the National Fallen firefighter Memorial.

On February 15, 2011, the RPFD reviewed their skills on Ropes and Knots at St. Francis School. This instruction was given by instructor Mark Solkov of the Fire Academy.

On March 20,2011, Members of Truck Co.#2 under the Command of Capt. J Antola Jr. practice their Extrication techniques at Apaches Auto wreckers who donated the cars to the Fire Dept.

On March 20, 2011, Members of Engine Co.#1 recieved instruction from a representative of Seagrave on the operation of their new Seagrave 2000 GPM Pumper.

On October 13, 2010 Members of the Fire Dept along with the emergency services held volunteer night which followed Fire Prevention week in the Village. This was held at St. Francis school parking lot. Members educated the public on different safety issues.

On Saturday August 21, 2010, The Ridgefield Park and Bogota Fire Departments worked together for their annual pump testing as required by the NFPA. Working together to save the tax payer money. Testing was done by Technical Fire Services Inc of Bergenfield.

Members of Ladder Two were called to a Domestic Bird rescue in the Hazelton Heights section of town. With the assistance of the PD, the bird was returned to its owner safe and sound.
 |
On April 28th members of the Fire Dept attended the annual "31 cent scoop night" at Baskin Robins on Main St. The FD Scooped over one thousand cups of ice cream to residents. All proceeds went to the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation. Thanks to all!

In March members of Engine company #2 operate at car fire and an
overturned truck on Route 95 southbound.

April 6, 2010 - At 2:35pm, members of Truck 2 and Engine 3 assisted with an extrication at an MVA on Highland Pl. and Bergen Ave.

March 26, 2010 - Engine Co.#1 operates at a call at Main St and
Park St. A NJ transit Bus ruptured a fuel line and spilled Diesel fuel on Main St at several locations. Members place "Speedy-Dry" on the
affected areas.

March 13, 2010 - Members of Hook and Ladder Company #2 on the scene of a Chimney collapse on Edwin St. Crews check for Carbon Monoxoide gas as the chimney collapsed due to high winds.

March 17, 2010 - Engine 3 working at an MVA at North and 4th st. Several injured partys transported to the hospital.

November 9th, 2006 - Village emergency services combine to successfully extricate the driver involved in this early morning accident on Route 95. The driver survived and is doing well.

November 4th, 2006 - Members of Engine 1, Engine 2 and Truck 1 train under live fire conditions at the Rockland County Fire Training Center.

October 2, 2006 Village emergency services demonstrate teamwork in the extrication of a critically injured truck driver. The victim was transported to HUMC by State Police - North Star Helicopter.

July 4, 2006 - Department Inspection is interrrupted by major tractor trailor fire on the Route 80 East to Route 95 South ramp.

June 11, 2006 - Units operate on Route 95 at a serious accident. There were numerous injuries, none life threatening.
