Applying for a Marriage License

In order to apply for a marriage license, the bride, groom, and a witness 18 years of age or older must be present.

You must also present:

• Proof of identity by presenting your driver’s license, photo I.D., passport, or state/federal I.D.
• Proof of your residency
• Your social security card or social security number
• $28.00 cash or check

All documents must be in English.

If there is a language barrier, an interpreter needs to be present.

The application must be held for 72 hours before the license can be issued.

We need to know who is marrying you, their title, and their mailing address.

You can apply 30 days prior, but your application is only good for 30 days.

Date and place of wedding are most important.
