Learn How to Make Healthier Choices
For You and Your Family
to Live Longer and Happier Lives

Now is the time to become proactive about the health of your family by learning some simple tips on how to make better choices at the supermarket and prepare easy and nutritious meals. We are in the midst of a health crisis in which the majority of adults are facing serious health issues derived from poor nutrition and a lack of physical activity. The current generation is the first who may not live as long as their parents if they don't start to change their eating habits.

If you're feeding your family hamburgers, chips and soda or even full-fat cheese, white bread and popular cereals, you are putting yourself and them at risk for obesity, heart disease and high-cholesterol. By attending this free workshop, you will learn that eating healthy is no more expensive and can add to your life expectancy, so let's start taking the health of your family seriously. You wouldn't offer your children cigarettes - so why feed them empty-calorie, fat-causing, processed foods that are just as toxic to their health?

It's never too late to change your eating habits and with the advice given in this workshop, you'll be on your way in no time and will feel supported throughout the transition. Pick up quick and easy tips on how to cut the junk out of your diet and feed your kids foods that taste great and have nutritional value. Think of the lessons learned in this workshop as the best gifts you can give to your family.

The workshop will be held on Monday, July 25th at 7 p.m. and Monday, August 1 at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center on Park Street. To register, contact the Ridgefield Park Board of Recreation at 201-641-3524. The workshop is free so please come and bring a friend!
