April 13, 2010: RPHS Environmental Club needs your help! RPHS Environmental Club needs your help! There are millions of old, outdated and unused mobile phones out there and our school could turn them into cash! For every 25 phones we collect, our school is entered to win one of 50 $1,000 Green Grants. We could even win a concert by Hey Monday. So not only does recycling Mobile phones help the environment, but it will help the school! Just bring in your old phones into school before June 1st and put them in the collection box in the main office. Samsung Mobile will reuse the materials they can and properly dispose of the materials that can not be reused. This helps keep harmful chemicals out of landfills and our groundwater.
